Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to: 1) develop the collaborative teaching
evaluation system, 2) evaluate the collaborative teaching evaluation system, and
3) develop and validate the efficiency of the collaborative teaching evaluation
system. The target of this research included 40 administrative team and teachers in
13 private vocational educational institutes. The descriptive statistics employed in
this study included arithmetic mean, IOC, Cronbachs Alpha Method, and E1/E2 for
the efficiency of the training course. The results can be summarized as follows:
1. The development of the collaborative teaching evaluation system for
vocational educational institutes can be divided into 6 aspects, i.e. 1) the input factor
consisted of teachers, students, learning and teaching activities, laws and promulgations
related to education, self evaluation by teachers themselves and their colleagues,
and the evaluation committee. 2) The process factor is based on Rodriguez Campos
(2008) integrated with teaching evaluation method by Glaser (1965) and concept
framework of collaborative evaluation approach by Thipkamporn (2545 BE). 3) The
product factor revealed that there were 4 types of evaluation for trained teachers,
i.e. response evaluation, learning achievement evaluation, evaluation on changing
behavior after training, and effects on the organization evaluation. 4) The product
evaluation showed that students had more roles and took part in learning and teaching. Other advantages included teaching evaluation handbook and teaching
evaluation system for the administrative team to evaluate their teachers in the
organization. 5) Meta evaluation system was employed to evaluate the process and
product again by the specialists. 6) Feedback from the analysis of relationship between
product and objective was used to develop the process, product, and target.
2. The assessment results of the collaborative teaching evaluation system for
vocational educational institutes based on Rodriguez Campos (2008) integrated with
teaching evaluation method by Glaser (1965) and concept framework of collaborative evaluation approach by Thipkamporn (2545 BE) showed that the teaching handbook
was very appropriate with the average of 4.48. The 2nd handbook on the process of
teaching evaluation evaluated by the specialists based on Rodriguez Campos (2008)
integrated with teaching evaluation method by Glaser (1965) and concept framework
of collaborative evaluation approach by Thipkamporn (2545 BE) showed very high
appropriateness at 4.62. The 3rd handbook on self evaluation based on collaborative
evaluation approach showed that the developed approach was very good at 4.67.
3. The efficiency of the collaborative teaching evaluation system for vocational
educational institutes reached high efficiency at 82.17/ 85.15 with the average on the
practical part at 75%. The efficiency of the training program on 5 learning modules
reached the average of 83.55%.
