Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to 1) study the state, problems, and needs of the future roles of the future roles of Thai wisdom teachers in lifelong learning management in fine arts; and 2) study the future roles of Thai wisdom teachers in lifelong learning management in fine arts. The research instruments were an interview question form and a questionnaire. The samples were nineteen Thai wisdom teachers in fine arts and experts in lifelong learning. The data were gathered by using the Delphi Technique, then analyzed through Median ( ), and interquartile range (IGR). The research findings were as follow. 1. The results of state showed that 1) Thai wisdom teachers in fines arts shared their knowledge based on principles, objectives and contents of Thai wisdom, carried volunteering spirit, conserved Thai traditional arts depends on government policies, and contributed to the knowledge transferring in formal education, non-formal and informal education. 2) The problems of Thai wisdom teachers included the lack of successors, budget, and compensation provided by the government agencies, as well as the lack of interest and value in wisdom knowledge of the new generation. 3) The needs of Thai wisdom teachers included the knowledge transferring from generations to generations and the development of the local knowledge curriculum, the folk media, ICTs, and the financial support in organizing lifelong learning. 2. The future roles of Thai wisdom teachers consisted of five main roles: 1) teacher roles: Thai wisdom teachers should develop knowledge transfer processes and Thai cultural conservation; 2) contents and curriculums roles: Thai wisdom teachers should gather all knowledge and develop local knowledge curriculum; 3) teaching and learning activity roles: the wisdom teachers should help setting the learning centers to promote lifelong learning; 4) learning materials roles: teacher should develop informal learning materials for knowledge transferring to the learners; and 5) evaluation and assessment roles: Thai wisdom teachers should develop the learning criteria and standard for those learners who pass the learning courses or programs.
