Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the roles of school administrators in promoting classroom research at Saithammachan school under the office of Secondary Educational Service Area 8. The sample group comprised 70 teachers of Saithammachan school under the office of Secondary Educational Service Area 8. The instrument of this study was a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.98 consisting of 5 factors: 1) encouraging personnels interest in doing research, 2) developing personnels potential, 3) supporting the research publication, 4) promoting and monitoring research operations, and 5) promoting problem analysis. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, Z test, and One-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA).
The results showed that:
1. The role of school administrators in promoting teachers on doing classroom research was at a high level. Consideration of all factors was at a high level. Each factor was arranged from the highest mean value to the lowest mean value, as follows: 1) Encouraging personnels interest in doing research; 2) The promoting and monitoring of the research operation; 3) Developing personnels potential; 4) Promoting problem analysis; and 5) Supporting the research publication.
2. A comparison of teachers' opinions about the roles of school administrators in promoting doing classroom research of Saithammachan school under the office of Secondary Educational Service Area 8 by gender, education, and work experience had no significantly difference.
