Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to identify and compare the happiness at work of teachers under the jurisdiction of the Chonburi Administrative Organization categorized by gender, education background, and work experience. The tool used for data collection was a questionnaire on happiness at work of teachers under the jurisdiction of the Chonburi Administrative Organization with a discrimination value for each item between 0.226 and 0.696 and a reliability of 0.881.
Results from the research were as follow:
1. In overall, the happiness at work of teachers under the jurisdiction of the Chonburi Administrative Organization was at a high level. For the individual aspects, namely, love of the work was at a very high level, while good connections, work achievement, and recognition from others were all at a high level.
2. Comparison of the happiness at work of teachers under the jurisdiction of the Chonburi Administrative Organization according to gender and education background showed that teachers with different gender and education background exhibited no differences in the happiness at work while teachers with more than 3 years work experience exhibited higher happiness at work than those with 1-3 years work experience on the overall view and the individual aspects regarding good connections, work achievement, and recognition from others. The happiness at work regarding individual aspects on love of the work and recognition from others were not different between teachers with different work experience.
