Abstract:
The objective of this research was to study needs of competency development in the work of secondary school personnel under the Ministry of Education in Sriracha district, Chonburi province. The samples included 88 secondary school personnel under the Ministry of Education in Sriracha district, Chonburi province. A 5-scale rating questionnaire which had a reliability of .97 was used for the study, and analyzed data using frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, and depth interviews.
Findings showed that:
Executives and government officials working in functions other than the teacher needed to know to develop a high level of competence in the work. The past have not focused on personal development. The management plan and problems had not been explored. Moreover, there had no survey on needs of the school personnel. The administrators had to manage under limited resources and tradition. The performance was not satisfactory. The needs to gain knowledge to improve performance at work of the administrators and personnel was not different.
