DEVELOPMENT OF A WORK-BASED BLENDED LEARNINGAND TECHNOLOGICAL SCAFFOLDING SYSTEM TO ENHANCE COMMUNICATION SKILLS FOR CAREGIVERS UNDER LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, MINISTRY OF INTERIOR
Abstract:
This study is a research and development which aimed to 1) study the various factors and process 2) establish 3) study the results and 4) present the work-based blended learning and technological scaffolding system to enhance communication skills of caregivers. Several statistics were applied in this research, they include percentages, averages, S.D., CFA, descriptive analysis, content analysis, one-way of variance: repeated measured. The research found that 1) communication skill using technology is the most important skill for caregivers 2) Work-based learning system consists of five elements Work task, Activity, Key stakeholders, Technology, and Evaluation. The finding of CFA found that p value = 0.12, RMSEA = 0.0275. Significant processes of system were identified as KEYS which include four processes Key determinants of interest area, Enabling development of plan and communication, Communicate at Your workplace, and Share and collaborate on work by technological scaffolding job aids (e-Manual, e-skill bank), social media, and opened educational resources. 3) Participants attending WBSC-LMS for 12 weeks, resulting in higher scores in communication skills than pre-test (significant at the .05 level). The scores for the second round is higher than the first round (significant at the .05 level). Average score of samplings is satisfaction. 4) Ratio between online and offline is 70:30.
