Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to 1) study the causal factors of the drug problems for students 2) development of anti-drug activity model for students 3) evaluate the implementation result of the anti-drug activity model for students. The research consisted of three phases as follows: Phase 1: A study of the causal factors of the drug problems for students. The sample group consisted of 357 Matthayomsuksa 1 students from schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 6 selected by stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a rating scale questionnaire with the reliability of .96. The data analysis was done through linear factor analysis of the causal factors of the drug problems for students. Phase 2: The development of anti-drug activity model was executed by analyzing the anti-drug activity models used successfully by various organizations and also by analyzing related researches. The researcher then synthesized the anti-drug activity model and had it justified by 5 experts, and Phase 3: The evaluation of the implementation result of the anti-drug activity model on 60 Matthayomsuksa 1 students arranged into 2 groups, control and experiment groups, each with 30 participants selected by multiple stage cluster random sampling method. The research instrument consisted of 1) the drug knowledge test with the reliability of .96, 2) the conduct skill test with the reliability of .98, 3) the attitude test with the reliability of .95, 4) satisfaction measurement with the reliability of .98. The data was analyzed by mean ( ), standard deviations (S.D.), and test of a statistical hypothesis (independent t-test). The research findings were as follows:1. The causal factors of the drug problems for students comprised of intelligence quotient, emotional quotient, adversity quotient, family, social and environment, school and drug behavior. 2. The model of anti-drug activity for students were integration of activities in the curriculum of basic education with student development activities. The main purpose was to students have awareness of drug dangers. The process consisted of ice breaking activity, awareness, brainstorming, building life skills, commitment and measurement and evaluation.3. The result findings were that the knowledge and conduct skills about drugs in the experiment group were higher than those in the control group with statistical significance at .05 level. The negative attitude to drug and satisfaction on anti-drug activities as a whole were at the high level.
