Abstract:
The purposes of this research were (1) to synthesize the human capital model (2) to find
the human capital model, managerial capital model and human capital evaluation model of
community hospitals (3) to study the construct validity of the relationship among human capital
model, managerial capital model and human capital evaluation model of community hospitals and
(4) to present human capital model of community hospital. The survey research conducted by
using a questionnaire collected data from 24 of quality accredited rural hospitals in 4 provinces.
Validity and reliability test were used to indicate the degree to which research instruments were
capable of achieving certain aims. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.8828. Using in-depth
interview collected data from two hospital scholar, a hospital director, a hospital quality system
administrator and four participants. The data were analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage,
arithmetic mean, standard deviation, second order confirmatory factor analysis and content
analysis.
The research found that the most factor loading of human capital model was social capital
while as the most factor loading of managerial capital model was human resources development
capital and the most factor loading of human capital evaluation model was internal process
perspective. The result from second order confirmatory factor analysis found that the human
capital model of community hospitals was fit to the empirical data ( 2 χ = 5.16, df = 6, p = 0.523,
GFI = 0.99, AGFI = 0.98). The factor loading of human capital model of community hospitals
were managerial capital (b= 1.22), human capital evaluation (b=1.06) and human capital (b=1.04)
respectively.
