Abstract:
The purpose of this study was: 1) to analyze cause, concept and goal of organizing non formal education, using pedagogic theatre in Moradokmai Home School for lifelong learning. This study was a Qualitative Research, using Documentary Research, Non formal interviews, Observations, and Surrounded Circumstances to compile the facts in every aspects in order to related with Faith Values and Idealism of individuals. The study was validated by an expert. The research findings were as follows:
1. Cause of organizing non formal education, using pedagogic theatre for lifelong learning in Moradokmai Home School. has derived from viewpoint and vision of leader of the organization; Janaprakal Chandruang. As the top senior member, and as the master, he has been dedicating to be a model by drilling himself at all time, in order to reach the goal of estrablishing culture of watching theatre and culture of searching for wisdom. He has initiated concept of developing oneself, for both teacher and student; under the principles that Theatre, Education and Buddhism are the same direction of thoughts. When 3 main components of theatre and education, which are actor or teacher/story or topic of learning/and audience or student, are in harmonious circumstances, and become one, then true theatre and true education will be arised in that moment. 2. Organizing non formal education, using pedagogic theatre in Moradokmai Home School leads to lifelong learning by which its members; teachers and students have a clear goal of specific selection for what to learn; followed Buddhist approach leaves in one handful. They practice how to distinguish between good points and weak points of their skills and learn how to sustain good points and develop weak points. They emphasis on vertical learning approach when big tree gives shade to little tree, learning and sharing wisdom by seniority system. They integrate all learning subjects for practical implements in real life. They practice 6 philosophies; emphasized on self reliance, diminishing materialism, considering public needs more than personal needs which are To meet together in harmony and disperse in harmony, To do the skill until you master in it, To live life simply to give more, To learn from process more than product, To practice to tell untold story of their own and To be what you eat, read and teach . Apart from that they also need to practice 7 disciplines of doing theatre; followed Buddhism approach of 7 factors of enlightenment which are Mindfulness. Investigation, Energy. Joy. Tranquillity, Concentration, and Equanimity which lead to life long learning or unending education among its members. In order to follow this direction, teachers and students have to be eager for a new knowledge all the time, and willingly to be a model for the others, through the learning process and activiities that emphasis on hands on expreriences through theatre, music, arts, and projects, following by the evaluations that emphasis on the result of accomplishment from what they aim to do, as well as portfolios from both teachers and students.
