Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to study and compare the problems of strategic planning of primary schools in Pla Pak district under the office of Nakhon Phanom Educational Service Area 1, classified by status and school size. The samples were 196 school administrators and teachers in Pla Pak district under the office of Nakhon Phanom Educational Service Area 1. They were divided into 24 school administrators, and 172 teachers, categorized by Stratified Random Sampling. The instrument used was a five rating scale questionnaire with the discrimination value between 0.34 - 0.90 and its reliability of 0.91. Statistics employed were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t - test (Independent samples). The results were as follows: the problems of strategic planning of elementary schools were at the moderate level overall. The highest mean aspect was carrying out plans to implementation; the lowest one was strategic determination. The comparison result of the problems on strategic planning of elementary schools, classified by status was no different overall. When considering on an individual aspect, the school administrators and teachers have the problems on determination of school direction; strategic aspect was statistically significant different at .01 level. The teachers have the problems more than the school administrators. When comparing on the school size, there was no different overall. When comparing on an individual aspect, the small-sized schools and the medium - sized schools have the problems on carrying out the plans to implementation at statistically significant statistics of .01 level. The small - sized schools have the problems more than the medium - sized schools.
