Abstract:
Currently of product 10W1EB2MH, 2.34 percent of non-conformity products called dripping are found in a selected factory. This leads to very high production cost. The purpose of this research is to determine and optimal condition for polypropylene non wowens process. Based on the current data, three factors namely, recycle rate, extruder temperature, and cooling air pressure, are considered as potential factors to generate the dripped defect. The factorial experiment is then consider a 2K factorial design with 2 replicates and consider center point with 5 replicates at significant level of 0.05 is then conducted to determine the optimal setting of the three factors. The result shows that using recycle rate at 90 kilogram per hour and cooling air pressure at 3,000 pascal, will generate a minimum number of dripped defect. After using this setting for 16 production run, the dripped defectare reduced from 2.34 percent to only 0.27 percent or can reduce a number of dripped defect of product 10W1EB2MH up to 42,016 kilogram per year which leads to cost saving to the selected factory about 2,100,820 baht per year.
