The Factors Affecting English Learning Achievements of the Second Year Students at High Certificate Level at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Chiang Rai
Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting English learning achievements of the second year students at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Chiangrai. The factors were investigated in three aspects: students, teaching and learning and learning support. The samples consisted of 159 second year students at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Chiangrai. The instruments used for collecting data were questionnaire and In-dept interview. The data was statistically analyzed in terms of mean score, percentage and standard deviation. The results of this study found that the factor of students, teaching and learning and learning supports affecting to English learning achievements of the students at high level. According to the statistical data results in each aspect, the most perceived points in the students factors was that of English is an important language and it can be used in daily life with the mean score of 4.41. In the teaching and learning factors, the instructors had a sense of humor and friendly personally that reduce stress in class. The students became more assertive with the mean score of 4.30. The most perceived points of the learning support factors was the library of the institute where had books and technology for learning English with the mean score of 4.30.
