Abstract:
The purpose of this research were to study and compare the transformational leadership of school administrators under Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Education Service Area Office, classified by work experience and school size. The Bass & Avolios transformational leadership theory was used in this study which included 4 aspects : 1) idealized influence or Charisma leadership, 2) inspiration motivation, 3) intellectual simulation, and 4) individualized orientation.The population was 3,563 teachers who worked in school under Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary and the sample was comprised of 360 personal which calculated by Taro Yamane formula. The instrument was a five-point rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used for analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test (independent), one-way ANOVA and Scheffes test of comparison. The findings were as follows:1.As a whole and in each aspect, the transformational leadership of school administrators under Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area Office was at a high level according to the following order of priority: individualized orientation, intellectual stimulation, inspiration motivation and idealized influence or Charisma leadership.2.Teachers who had different experience in working had no different in their opinions toward the transformational leadership of school administrators. Teachers in different school size toward the transformational leadership of school administrators indicated signification difference at the level of .05. Teachers in large schools thought that the level of transformational leadership of school administrators was higher than those in small and medium schools.
