Abstract:
The purpose of the independent study was to investigate the satisfaction level that affected the job satisfaction of the personnel of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited. The sample of the study comprised 377 personnel of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited, and the data were collected through the application of questionnaires.
The result of the study showed that the majority of the respondents were male (73.7%), 20-29 years old (45.0%), graduated with Bachelors degree (47.2%), were single (48.3%), were casual employees (24.2%), earned a monthly income of 10,001-20,000 Baht (37.1%), and had 1-5 years of work experience (39.5%). The analysis of the opinion level toward the motivation factors demonstrated that the job characteristics aspect was at the highest level, next below were the aspects of achievement and responsibility. The analysis of the opinion level toward the supporting factors demonstrated that the career status was at the highest level, next below were the aspects of personal life and relationship with colleagues. The analysis of the job satisfaction level showed that the job satisfaction of the employees was at the high level.
The analysis of the statistical data revealed that different personal factors had an impact on the job satisfaction. The analysis of the relationship between the motivation factors and the job satisfaction showed that the motivation factors had positive relationship with the job satisfaction, and the most significant relationship was the job characteristics factor, next below was the achievement factor. The analysis of the relationship between the supporting factors and the job satisfaction showed that the supporting factors had positive relationship with the job satisfaction, and the salary and welfare factor had the most significant relationship with the job satisfaction, next below was the career status factor.
