Abstract:
This research presents the development of protocols for routine case duplication checking between multiple cancer registries by Soundex method. It comprises the steps of Thailand syllables segmentation. The process of soundex encryption of the name-surname. The process repeated comparisons between cancer registries using a weighted mean. This paper is intended to focus on how to improve soundex encryption of Wichit Lawjirachunkul and Jaruen Kuwinpan so effectively. Which methods are more suitable for using in case duplication checking between multiple cancer registries. The results showed that the use of soundex is optimized to detect patients repeat it. The performance was found that the Precision equal to 94.36%, Recall equal to 91.78% and F-Measures equal to 93.05%. When using the encryption algorithms soundex traditionally found the Precision was 77.23%, Recall was 72.14% and F-Measures was 74.59%. Thus the improved method used to create the soundex had more increasingPrecision, Recall and F-Measures equal to 19.64%, 17.13% and 18.46% respectively.
