Abstract:
The study was conducted to investigate the factors that affected the behavior of the personnel of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) toward being the public autonomous university. The sample used in the study consisted of 326 personnel of RMUTT. The data were collected through the application of questionnaires, and were analyzed using Frequency, Percentage, Means, Standard Deviation, Independent Samples t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Least Significant Difference (LSD).
The results of study showed that the majority of the respondents were female between 31- 40 years old, single, graduated with Bachelors degree, had less than 5 years of work experience, earned an income between 10,001-20,000 Baht, and were government officials.
The result of analysis on overall personnels behavior was demonstrated at a high level. It was found that the personnel of RMUTT with different gender, marital status, and level of education had no differences in the behavior toward being the public autonomous university in the aspects of attitudes, values, work performance and expectations. However, the personnel of RMUTT with different age, work experience had differences in the behavior toward being the public autonomous university in the aspect of work performance. The personnel of RMUTT with different income had differences in the behavior toward being the public autonomous university in the aspect of expectations, and the personnel of RMUTT with different work position had differences in the behavior toward being the public autonomous university in the aspects of attitudes, values and expectations.
