Abstract:
The purposes of the study were to investigate the factor levels of work performance and organizational engagement, and to examine the relationship between the factors of work performance and contract employees engagement toward HR Trans Services Company Limited. The random samples consisted of 270 contract employees working in the production department and working as forklift drivers of HR Trans Services Company Limited. The questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument, and the collected data were analyzed applying Frequency, Percentage, Means, standard Deviation, Independent Samples t-test, One-way ANOVA, LSD, and Pearsons Correlation Coefficient at 0.05 level of significance.
The results of the study revealed that most of the respondents were female between 31-40 years old, finished no more than a lower secondary education, were married, had 1-5 years of work experience, earned an average monthly income between 7,001-10,000 Baht, worked in the production department, and the overall levels of work performance and organizational engagement were demonstrated at a high level.
The results of hypothesis testing showed that different age and level of education made differences in overall organizational engagement, and the overall factors of work performance had a positive relationship with organizational engagement. When studying on each aspect, it was found that the factors of work performance in the aspect of relation with peers had relationship with organizational engagement at a rather high level. However, the aspect of responsibility, compensation and benefit, and work environment had a low-level relationship with the organizational engagement.
