Abstract:
The independent study was carried out to investigate the demographic characteristics that affected the motivation and hygiene factors of the officers working in the software company. The sample, drawn by the method of simple random sampling, comprised 400 employees working in the software company. The data were collected through the application of questionnaire, and were analyzed using descriptive statistics including Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, as well as inferential statistics which consisted of Independent Samples t-test, One-way ANOVA, Least Significant Difference at 0.05 level of significance.
The results of the study showed that the majority of the respondents were male, aged between 21-30 years old, graduated with Bacheloros degree, were general staff, had 1-5 years of work experience, and earned an average monthly income of more than 25,000 Baht.
The results of hypothesis testing demonstrated that different gender, age, level of education, position, work experience, and average monthly income had effects on the differences in motivation factor and hygiene factor at 0.05 level of significance.
