Abstract:
This independent study aimed to explore real working procedures, analyze problems and requirements, and develop a prototype of the inventory system for Meguiar's Show Car Detail Center, Rangsit Branch.
Initial methodology were collecting primary and secondary data within the organization by interviewing managers, employees, and customers. The collected data were used to analyze and design the inventory system using the following tools: waterfall model, object-oriented analysis and design theory using UML, and database design theory.
The results of this study explain problems analysis and requirements procedures of the inventory system in each period of time. The prototype was developed to help users to access data quickly and accurately. Managers must be able to efficiently manage the inventory system of the service center for acquisition, validation, and quality control. Those abilities would lead to cost savings and good inventory management as a benefit for business competition in the future.
