Abstract:
This research aims to 1) analyze the strategies for a creation of moral tale and to 2) study four moral aspects found in His Majesty the King as depicted in the moral stories for theelementary school students. The data used in the analysis included 20 elementary moraltales selecting from four collected moral tales for children; Fun bedtime Story, This Tale tells Popular Aesop's Fables and Aesop's Fables. Finding indicated the followings: With regard to plot or storyline, the style of narration, dialogue and description were used for an opening the story and the narrative style was the most frequently employed. For the process of playing in the story, the process was displayed chronologically in which the writer narrated the story. For the closing part, there were both happy and tragedy ending. The happy ending tale showed the positive result of good deeds and morality whereas tragedy ending tale revealed the negative effect of bad actions and immorality. With regard to the character creation, the idealistic reality, surreal, and personifications were found and for the scene creation, the simple way of creation such as a forest, a swamp etc. was used. For the creation of dialogue, there was a dialogue that allows the story to flow and shows the characteristics of the characters Regarding the analysis of four moral aspects, it was found that all selected tales were consistent with the four virtues, truth, patience, tolerance, and sacrifice that will not violate the truth and honestly for any reason. Patience and tolerance were mostly found as the 1st and the 2nd virtue in the moral stories. The third virtue was truth and honesty to oneself to do only good deeds whereas the fourth virtue was to behave rightfully to act only useful and right together with self-sacrifice for the country."
