Abstract:
At present, the performance evaluation of transportation route is using different criteria and subjective rating scale. That based on experience of the individual. Therefore, The objective of this study is create the standard criteria and standard rating scale for performance evaluation railway Transportation. This research started from identify the factors from previous researches and interviewed the expert of railway transportation. Those were to consideration the index of consistency (IOC). Then, used factor analysis for categorized factors were related into the same groups. The result of factor analysis was to determined the indicators for created the standard criteria for performance evaluation railway transportation. That consisted of two standard criteria such as 1) Standard criteria for performance evaluation railway transportation of physical factor. That was categorized into three groups which consist of seven factors, the facilities for railway transportation, the attributes of railway transportation routes and the flexibility of railway transportation. And 2) Standard criteria for performance evaluation railway transportation of statistical factor. That was categorized into four groups which consist of ten factors, the reliability of railway transportation, the circumstance of routes and frequency of railway transportation and the accident and unexpected. Finally, created five-level rating scale and evaluated the route from Bangkok railway station to Chachoengsao junction railway station.
