Abstract:
This research aimed 1) to compare the %yield extracts on result of two
solvents such as 95% ethanol and distilled water (DW) of rubber tree (Hevea
brasiliensis Muell.Arg), eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh) and cassava
(Manihot esculenta (L.) Crantz). and 2) to evaluate the antifungal growth of three
leaves extracts on Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. The leaf extracts were extracted using
maceration method with ratio revealed plant : solvent equal 1:2 (w/v) at room
temperature for seven days. The 95% ethanolic and DW extractions from three
leaves at 5,000 10,000 20,000 30,000 40,000 and 50,000 ppm with the control (5000
ppm Benomylฎ) concentrations tests on Potato dextrose agar (PDA ) for activity
against mycelial growth were determined at 25ฑ2C with five replicated plates. The
results shows 95% ethanolic extracts of rubber tree, eucalyptus and cassava at
50,000 ppm against mycelial growth calculated to 42.96, 33.36, and 39.04%,
respectively. DW extracts at 50,000 ppm concentration of H. brasiliensis, E. camaldulensis
and M. esculenta, were inhibited against mycelial growth of C. gloeosporioides at 55.40%
53.00% and 45.46%, respectively. The 30,000 ppm concentration of DW extracts of
H. brasiliensis, inhibited against spore germination of C. gloeosporioides at 100%,
E. camaldulensis and M. esculenta, 40,000 ppm inhibited against spore germination
of C. gloeosporioides at 100%. The results indicated that DW extracted of H. brasiliensis
shows highest activity to inhibit fungal. Three leaves extracts with 95% ethanolic
shows low activities to against growth and spore germination of C. gloeosporioides.
