Abstract:
The research aimed to study and compare the parents participation in an educational administration of the Early Childhood Development Centers under the Local Administrative Organizations of Yasothon province as classified by sex, age, occupation and an educational level, and to examine the recommendations on the parents participation in an educational administration. The samples used in the research were 370 parents of the students of the early Childhood Development Centers in Yasothorn, derived by a stratified random sampling.
The research instruments were the five rating scale questionnaire and the interviews for the students parents which were evaluated at a very good level.
Statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, and content analysis.
The research findings were as follows.
1. The parents of the students participation was at a high level in planning, coordinating, resource allocating and evaluating.
2. In comparing the parents participation in an educational administration of the early childhood development centers as classified by sex, age, educational level, and occupation of the subjects, it was found to be statistically different at the level of .05.
3. The following were the recommendations for the parents participation.
3.1 On planning the early childhood development centers should allow the parents to express their opinion and take part in determining the targets and directions of the centers.
3.2 On coordinating the local administrative organization should focus on a coordination with the parents. The parents of the students should be encouraged to take part more in the communication activities with the teachers.
3.3 On resource allocating the administrators should be aware of the significance of education and resource allocation for further development of the early children.
3.4 On evaluation the parents should were rarely given the opportunity to evaluate the performance according to the school project as they lacked an understanding of the evaluation principles.
