Abstract:
The objective of this research was to design six learning management plans emphasizing the use of graphic organizer instructional model to develop learners analytical thinking skills regarding the course social. and to study level of students satisfaction towards learning graphic organizer instructional model for grade 9 students after learning by using graphic organizer instructional model.
A sample of 84 students was taken by means of cluster sampling from the population of 763 students of grade 9 at Thammasat Khlongluangwitthayakhom School in Pathumthani., and was later randomised into two groups: the control and experimental ones. Research tools were 6 learning plans, a test examining the analytical thinking skills based Robert J. Marzanos school of thought, and a questionnaire asking for learners satisfaction towards the use of graphic organizer instructional model. Statistics used for analysis of the data were index of congruence, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test Dependent and ANCOVA.
The results of the research indicated that 6 learning plans were congruent to basic education core curriculum (Year 2008) with the highest level of appropriateness. There was no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results regarding the use of graphic organizer instructional model in relation to the development of analytical skills. However the students satisfaction towards the application of graphic organizer instructional model was marked at high level.
