A study of WiMAX's cell and mobile collaborative mesh deployment
Abstract:
Nowadays WiMAX technology offers several advantages over the current
available technology such as GSMs, UMTS technology. Despite the clear advantage
of the mesh mode in WiMAX networks, its development is currently at an early stage,
due to the high complexity of the necessary mechanisms. In this paper, we propose an
original much simpler solution that we called support-mesh mode, the purpose of this
research is to study an application of WiMAX, we looked at WiMAX nodes which
are fixed and mobile, then we studied the performance of communication between
mobile nodes when we had a moving Base Station such as a WiMAX Mobile car
mounted antenna array. Then the behavior of users will be considered as some users
may be stationary users, while others may be mobile users. The traffic will also be
studied, whether peak time or normal time affect the results. Our study will also focus
on the link WiMAX mesh when the signal is low, then we look at ways to solve these
problems. Lastly we will discuss how to merge fixed and mobile WiMAX node
technology together and the handover between mobile nodes.
