Abstract: การใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้ าในประเทศไทย ท้ังในภาคอุตสาหกรรม ภาคธุรกิจ และภาคที่อยู่อาศัย เกินกว่าร้อยละ 50 ของพลังงานไฟฟ้ าที่ถูกใช้ไปน้ันมาจากเครื่องปรับอากาศ เนื่องจากประเทศไทย ต้ังอยู่บริเวณเขตร้อนชื้น อุณหภูมิจึงค่อนข้างร้อนอบอ้าวเกือบตลอดท้ังปี ด้วยสภาวะดังกล่าวจึงมี การนำเครื่องปรับอากาศมาใช้ภายในอาคาร และที่พักอาศัยกันอย่างแพร่หลายเพื่อความสุขสบาย ของผู้อยู่อาศัย โดยปกติแล้วเครื่องปรับอากาศเป็นอุปกรณ์ที่สิ้นเปลืองพลังงานไฟฟ้ าสูง หากมี การนำเครื่องปรับอากาศมาใช้เป็นจำนวนมากก็จะส่งผลให้พลังงานไฟฟ้ าถูกใช้ไปจำนวนมากเช่นกัน การวิจัยคร้ังนี้ ได้ทำการศึกษาและวิเคราะห์การใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้ าในระบบปรับอากาศแบบ แยกส่วนของอาคารอำนวยการของบริษัท ทีโอซีซี จำกัด มหาชน มีการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้ าในระบบ ปรับอากาศแบบแยกส่วน จำนวน 107,524.28 กิโลวัตต์ชั่วโมงต่อปี คิดเป็นค่าใช้จ่ายไฟฟ้ า จำนวน 365,582.55 บาทต่อปี จากการเก็บและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้ าดังกล่าว พบว่ามีแนวทางที่จะทำการ ประหยัดพลังงานได้ 5 แนวทาง คือ 1) การบำรุงรักษาเครื่องปรับอากาศอย่างถูกต้อง 2) การใช้ เทอร์โมสตัทชนิดอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (Electronic Thermostat) แทนเทอร์โมสตัทชนิดธรรมดา 3) การปรับต้ัง อุณหภูมิเทอร์โมสตัทให้เหมาะสม 4) การติดต้ังเครื่องปรับอากาศชนิดอัตราส่วนประสิทธิภาพ การใช้พลังงานสูง (High EER) แทนเครื่องปรับอากาศเดิม 5) การติดม่านปรับแสง เพื่อลดความร้อน ที่ส่งผ่านเข้ามาในอาคาร แต่เมื่อพิจารณาจากการวิเคราะห์จุดคุ้มทุน และเงินลงทุน ของแนวทาง ท้ังหมดแล้ว บริษัท ทีโอซีซี จำกัด มหาชน ได้ดำเนินการจัดทำตามแนวทางการประหยัดพลังงาน ท้ังสิ้น 4 แนวทาง คือ แนวทางที่ 1 , 2 , 3 และ 5 หลังจากได้ดำเนินการท้ัง 4 แนวทางนี้แล้ว และ ได้วัดค่าการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้ าพร้อมการวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติพบว่า ค่าพลังงานไฟฟ้ าที่ใช้ลดลงอย่างมี นัยสำคัญ (p<0.01) เมื่อเปรียบเทียบค่าพลังงานไฟฟ้ าที่ใช้ก่อนและหลังดำเนินการประหยัดพลังงาน พบว่าค่ากระแสไฟฟ้ าก่อนดำเนินการเป็นเงินจำนวน 365,582.55.55 บาท/ปี และเมื่อดำเนินการ ประหยัดพลังงานแล้วลดลงเหลือ 323,756.98 บาท/ปี หรือลดลงเป็นเงินจำนวน 41,825.57 บาท/ปี จึงสรุปได้ว่าวิธีการดังกล่าวสามารถลดปริมาณการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้ าลงได้ประมาณปีละ 11.44%
