Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the level of work stress of accountant, 2) to compare the work stress level of accountant group between before and after the Anapanasati meditation practice, 3) to compare the work stress level of accountant group between before and after non-Anapanasati meditation practice, 4) to compare work stress level between Anapanasati meditation practice group and non-Anapanasati mediation, 5) to compare the stress in the accountant group after they had been practicing Anapanasati meditation classified by the work experience and the job fields. The sample group used in the study was 30 accountants from Minor Global Solution Co., Ltd. and Minor International Public Co., Ltd. Data were collected by questionnaires and the training program of Anapanasati meditation practice. Descriptive statistics as frequency, average percentage and standard derivation were used. Related t-test and Independent t-test were applied to analyze the data.
The results revealed that 1) the work stress level of accountant were at a moderate level, 2) the work stress level of Anapanasati meditation practice group before the trial was more than that of after trial with statistically significance (p=0 .01), 3) the work stress level of non-Anapanasati meditation practice group before and after trials was not significant difference 4 ) the work stress level of non-Anapanasati meditation practice group was statistically more than that of the Anapanasati meditation practice group with statistically significance (p=0.01), 5) the work stress level of the Anapanasati meditation practice group classified by the work experience and the job fields was not statistically significant difference.
