Reletionship between perception of organizational culture, organizational commitment and work absence of employees a case study of Instruments Trading Cpmpany
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the level of perception of organizational
culture and organizational commitment and work absence of employees, 2) to compare
organizational commitment of employees who have different personal factors, 3) to compare
work absence of employees who have different personal factors, 4) to study relationship between
perception of organizational culture and organizational commitment of employees, and 5 ) to
study relationship between perception of organizational culture and work absence of employees.
The samples of this study were 178 employees who were chosen by simple random sampling.
Research questionnaire contained 3 parts : personal characteristics, perception of organizational
culture and organizational commitment. The reliability of perception of organizational culture and
organizational commitment was .9102 and .9548 respectively. The statistics used in this research
were percentage, means, standard deviation, t-test, one way ANOVA and Pearsons Product
Moment Correlation Coefficient. The followings are the results of the research :
1. Employees had perception of organizational culture at high level, had organizational
commitment at high level and had work absence of employees at low level.
2. Employees with different gender, age, period of work time and education level had no
different organizational commitment. However, those who had different domicile had different
organizational commitment with a statistical significance at .05.
3. Employees with different gender, age and domicile had no different rate of work
absence of employees. However, those who had different period of work time and education level
had different work absence of employees with a statistical significance at .05
4. There was a positive relationship between overall perception of organizational culture
and organizational commitment with a statistical significance at .05 level.
5. There was no relationship between overall facet and each facet of perception of
organizational culture and work absence of employees.
