Abstract:
This study was initiated in response to the need of educational programs and IT graduates to investigate critical skills and knowledge requirements for IT professionals. To provide as accurate as possible, data in this research were collected from job advertisements posted on the corporate Web sites of 163 companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Overall, our study suggests that industry will demand a cadre of IT professionals with knowledge and skills in technology, business operations, management, and interpersonal skills.
