Abstract:
This study aims to examine work motivation levels of officials in Khlong Yai
Municipality, Trat province and to compare the results. The research population was 70 officials
working in Khlong Yai Municipality. This quantitative research applied the framework of
Herzbergs Two-Factor theory. The data were collected using a questionnaire. The research used
statistics to analyze data using a computer program to find frequency, percentage, average,
standard deviation and compare means.
The main research results were that the officials work motivation and maintenance of
motivation were high. Motivation factors with a high level were, first, work achievement, second,
work responsibility, and last, chance for promotion. The maintenance of motivation factors were
high for, first, working conditions, second was working relationships, and lastly, job stability.
The results of the comparison of officials work motivation in Khlong Yai Municipality
were that officials of different gender, age, degree of education, marital status, position and
number of years of work did not have differing motivation levels. Only officials with different
salaries had different motivation levels.
