Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to study the users satisfaction with superhighways7 and 9
with respect to their sexes, occupations, ages, and types of automobile.
Random sampling was performed on 300 people who were users of the said
superhighways. The data collection tool was questionnaires and highway use records were analyzed
in terms of frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and
Scheffés method for adjusting significance levels in a linear regression analysis to account for
multiple comparisons.
According to the study, the researcher found that most superhighway-7 users were male
employees, 41 to 50 years of age. Most of their vehicles were four-wheeled saloons. Their
satisfaction, in general, was at a moderate degree. The highest score was for the services provided by
highway officers whereas the next one was with road conditions. Comparison of users satisfactions
based on their sexes, occupations, ages, and types of vehicle were not significanty different. For
superhighway 9, most of users were male businessmen/merchants, 31 to 40 years of age. Most of
their vehicles were four-wheeled saloons. Their satisfaction, in general, was at a high degree. The
highest was with the services provided by highway officers whereas the next was with road
conditions. Comparisons of users satisfactions based on their sexes, occupations, ages, and types of
vehicle were not different.
