Abstract:
The purpose of this master project was to investigate the overall level of job satisfaction on working performance of private school teachers in Maesai District and the factors that affected such level of satisfaction. The research sample of this project consisted of 184 private school
teachers from 5 schools under the responsibility of Chiang Rai Educational Service Area Office 3. The tools used in this project were the 4scale questionnaire based on the Herzberg theory examining the factors that affected the level of a job satisfaction on working performance of
private school teachers. To investigate the hypotheses on differences factors of a two-sample result, the statistics applied in this project included mean, percentage, standard deviation (SD), t-test, F-test and Scheffes method. This study showed that the satisfaction level of the sample was high. From the project, such factors were categorized as personal factors on monthly salary, the grade level of teaching and teaching experiences. The factors on salary and teaching experience were both in keeping with the suggested hypothesis ; however, the grade level of teaching did not meet the hypothetical assumption. On the other hand, the result revealed that the relationship between the teachers and supervisors, job stability and low level of salary were actually the main factors that affected the satisfaction of the samples.
