Abstract:
This quantitative study aims 1) to examine level of quality of work life of data entry
officers at the Secretariat of the House of Representatives and 2) to compare the level of quality of
work life of the studied officers classified by sex, age, marital status, in-service time, and position
rank. The samples consist of 150 data entry officers. Questionnaire is used as data collecting tool.
Statistics used for data analysis are percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and
One-way ANOVA.
The findings show that holistically the level of quality of work life of the data entry
officers is rated moderate. The order of quality of work life aspects, from the highest to the
lowest, is 1) work and interaction with other, 2) work features (that directly related to society),
3) advancement and security, 4) remuneration, 5) balance of personal and work lives, 6) opportunity to
promote knowledge and competence, 7) the rules of law, and 8) safety and work condition. The
comparison of the level of quality of work life shows that the level of quality of work life of the
officers with the difference of sex is different while the level of quality of work life of the officers
with the differences of age, marital status, educational level, salary, in-service time, and position
rank is not different.
