Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to develop and examine the efficiency of a
Computer Based Training Simulation via Internet in Knowledge of Street Traffic Laws.
This research is experimental research with pretest-posttest Nonrandomized
Design. The sample consisted of 2 groups people, a control group and a treatment
group, of thirty selected from the population of drivers going to do a license test at the
Department of Land Transport. The system was developed with Macromedia
Dreamwaver Mx Macromedia Flash MX Adobe Photoshop 6.0 and PHP. The Computer
Based Training Simulation via Internet in Knowledge of Street Traffic Laws contains
traffic laws, vehicle legislation and safe driving techniques. The achievement test
comprised multiple choice, 4 choices, 30 items possessing the degree of difficulty, the
degree of discrimination and the reliability coefficient (0.3-0.9, 0.06-0.67 and 0.71,
respectively).
To examine the efficiency of the Computer Based Training, the 80/80 standard
criterion was used. The results of the research revealed that the efficiency of Computer
Based Training was 83.66/84.5.
