Abstract:
The objectives of this study were to assess the effectiveness about knowledge score and satisfaction score of four educational programs about antiretroviral drugs in HIV patients at Dokkhamtai hospital, Phayao. The educational programs included 1. education only. 2. education with offering ARV portable label. 3. education with training song and danced GPO-VIR S30 music. 4. education with offering ARV portable label and also with training song and danced GPO-VIR S30 music. The sample used were 88 GPO-VIR S30 regimen treated patients who failed pre-test. Statistics One-way ANOVA, paired samples t-test and kruskal wallis were used for analyzed. The results showed that the 3rd program had higher knowledge score than the 1st program (p-value = 0.045). The mean knowledge score of post-test in all program had significantly higher than those of pre-test. Furthermore, the 4th program had the highest satisfaction score (mean=20.40, p-value = 0.008). It can be concluded that the educational intervention should have many programs for improve both knowledge and satisfaction in HIV patients
