The development of web-based instruction with the game style for promoting the logical thinking on the lesson entitled flowchart for second year vocational diploma students
Abstract:
The purposes of this special problem were 1) to develop the web-based
instruction (WBI) with Game Style for promoting the Logical Thinking on Flowchart for
2nd year Vocational Diploma students, 2 ) to evaluate the efficiency of the developed
WBI, 3) to compare the learning achievement of students before and after using the
developed WBI, and 4) to compare logical thinking of student before and after using
the developed WBI. The research tools were the developed WBI, pretest and
posttest, and logical thinking questionnaire. The sampling group was 24 2nd year
vocational diploma students, Business Computing, Bangkok Health and Service
Technical College (2/2555), selected by using purposive sampling method. The
research methodology was at follows: studying the relative information , studying the
Principle of Computer Programming, defining the sampling group, defining
experimental method, developing the research tests, trying-out, collecting students
data during experiment phase and analyzing the data.
The research results showed that 1) the efficiency of the developed WBI was
at 84.26/90.18 that higher than the criteria level 80/80.2) The learning achievement
of students after using the developed WBI was statically significantly higher than
before using it at 05. And 3) The logical thinking of students after using the
developed WBI was statically significantly higher than before using it at .05 with the
progression 56.89%. In conclusion, the developed WBI can be used to promote the
logical thinking of students as well.
