The environmental study aimed to analyse the quality of the water in the Bang Yai Canal in Tep-Kasatree Sub-District which is about 5 kilometers long. The study was carried out two times at three spots in the canal : during the dry season in 20 January 2011 and during the rainy season in 27 October 2010. The study looked at 11 parameters of the water quality : Ph, color, temperature, transparency, DO, BOD, suspended solids, IDS, TP, NO3-N, and FCB. The results showed that in the quality of the water in dry season was different from in the rainy season. The study was carried out two times at three spots in the canal : during the dry season in January 2011 and during the rainy season in October 2010 and the quality of water was compared with the water quality standards set by the National Environmental Board. The results showed that in the quality of the water index (BOD) during the dry season was found to be 1.77 mg. per litre (equivalent to the second type of water which was suitable for fishery), and the bacteria index was found to be 87,000MPN / 100 ml. (equivalent to the third type of water which was suitable for agriculture) Regarding environmental education, the researcher developed the guidelines to conserve the water of Klong Bang Yai in Phuket Province, and used them with 40 residents at Tep-Krasatri Sub-District.
