The relationship between motivation factors and organizational commitment of supporting staffs at Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat university under the royal patronage
Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the relation level between motivation factors and organizational Commitment of supporting staffs, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Under the Royal Patronage and 2) to compare the relations between motivation factors and organizational Commitment engagement according to personal factors.
The population of this study was 495 staffs and samples used were 221 respondents selected by multi-stage sampling and the tools used questionnaire. Statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, t-test(independent) one way ANOVA (F-test) and post hoc comparisons with Scheffes test method and correlation coefficient (rxy ).
The findings revealed the following:
1.The motivation factors of staffs as a whole were at a high level. Considering each aspect, from the highest mean to lowest mean were opportunities for growth, possibility of growth and responsibility respectively.
2.The Organizational Commitment of staffs as a whole were at a high level. Considering each aspect, from the highest mean to lowest mean were feeling, continuation and social norm respectively.
3. The comparisons of motivation factors of staffs showed that had no relations with personal factors such as gender, age, marital status, income and working period, except for educational level and staffs categories had significantly difference at a level of .05.
4. The comparisons of organizational Commitment of staffs showed that had no relations with personal factors such as gender, age, marital status, income, working period and staffs categories, except for educational level had significantly difference at a level of .05.
5. The relations between motivation factors and organization engagement as a whole and each aspect had a low significantly relations at a level of .01.
