The achievement comparison between web-based instruction using team game tournament technique and Storyline Approach technique on basic network system subject
Abstract:
The purposes of the research were to 1) develop a WBI using TGT technique on Basic Network System subject, 2) develop a WBI using Storyline Approach on the same subject,
3) evaluate the efficiency of both WBIs, 4) compare students learning achievement between both WBIs, and 5) evaluate students satisfaction towards learning with both WBIs. The sample in the experiment was purposively selected from 2nd-year Vocational Certificate students at Rayong Business Administration Technical College. The 60 selected students were divided into two groups: one learning with the TGT WBI and other learning with the Storyline Approach WBI.
The results from the experiment indicated that the efficiency of the TGT WBI was 3.61 while that of the Storyline Approach WBI was 2.77. The students learning achievement of those learning with the TGT WBI was higher than those learning with the Storyline Approach WBI at the statistically significant level of .01. Finally, the students satisfaction values of both groups were at the level of high.
