Abstract:
This Independent study aimed to study 1) the public service roles of policemen at Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station, Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province and 2) to compare personal factors affecting opinions toward the public service roles of policemen at Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station. The population of this research consisted of 76,973 people living in Prachathipat Sub-district, Thanyaburi District, and the sample sizes was 398 cases, which were chosen using the stratified random sampling technique. questionnaires were used as the research tool to collect data. The statistics used to analyze this research were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way ANOVA.

The analysis of the opinions of the sample group found that the overall level of the public service roles of policemen at Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station, Thanyaburi District was at the high level. When considered in each aspect, it was found that justice aspect was at the highest level, followed by the aspects of traffic management, general management and services, and protection against crime.
Sample groups with different educational backgrounds and salaries had differences in their opinions of the public service roles of policemen at Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station at the significant levels of .01 and .05.
