Designing Communication Tool for Visual Advertisement
Abstract:
In creativity process over advertisement industry and currently fierce ongoing coppetition,
innovation and differentiation is quite crucial. A search for materials necessary to produce
the advertisement requires a considerable time and costly expense. In addition, it is
sometimes difficult to find out the desired pictures corresponding to the creative group's
need.
As for these reasons, a tool design that facilitates to obtain the pictures in congruence with
the creative concept is beneficial in term of time and expense saving to advertising agencies
and customers. Importantly, the desired communication will be fulfilled consistently with
saving cost.
Based on interview information gained from six media agencies, creative or Art Directors
have always engaged in the project. A new design tool provided an effective tool: to sketch
the layout which the components of photos can be manipulated and located, and to find out
whatever pictures are needed at the same time. Moreover, a tool can help to communicate
between the agencies and photographers who have the pictures and need to present their
work pieces to interested persons.
Three experts commented on the tool after watching the demonstration. Preliminarily, the
results have shown satisfactory in term of component disposal, convenience, speediness,
and searching simultaneously. Furthermore, a tool facilitates the communication between
those who need the pictures and those who produce good quality photos.
