Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to develop the LPG equipment installing instructional package for
gasoline engine and to determine the quality and efficiency of instructional package, to determine the
effectiveness learning achievement of students with instructional package and to determine satisfaction
level of students to LPG equipment installing instructional package for gasoline engine. The research
tools was LPG Equipment instalIing instructional package for gasoline engine, consisted of learning
documents with paper based modules, Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) and achievement test
package with theory test. The achievement test has difficulty value between 0.30 and 0.80,
discrimination value is between 0.20 and 0.80. The reliability value of test is between 0.53 and 0.65. The
index of consistency value (IOC) of theory test and practical section with learning capacity is between
0.80 and 1.00. The sampling group were 36 diploma vocational certificate students, 2nd year, of
mechanical division, major in Auto-Mechanics at the first semester, academic year of 2555 at Lawoe
Technological College. The statistics used in the research are mean, standard deviation, percentage and ttest.
The findings were as follows: 1) Quality of the LPG Equipment installing instructional package for
gasoline engine that average profile quality 10 modules at excellent level (X = 4.72, S.D. = 0.45).
Media and presentation quality of Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) at excellent level (X = 4.66,
S.D. = 0.47). 2) Efficiency of LPG equipment installing instructional package for gasoline engine that
built up has theoretical part efficiency average was 87.01184.62, practical part efficiency average was
94.73/93.12 which was higher than the criteria of 80/80 found that instruction package has efficiency
follow the criteria that defiled. 3) Learning achievement of students found that average score from pretest
(Epre) was at 25.87%, average score from post-test (Epost) was at 84.62%, found that learning
achievement of students more higher and learning achievement of students using t-test can calculate at
69.52 found that compare with t-value in t-critical table was significant at level 0.05, degree of freedom
value was 35 from t-critical was 1.6905. The t-value was calculated higher than t-critical table, found that
students have learning achievement more higher by post-test score more higher than pre-test was
significant at level 0.05 4) Satisfaction level of students to LPG equipment installing instructional
package for gasoline engine by total profile has satisfaction at excellent level (X = 4.51, S.D. = 0.58)
was agreed to hypothesis.
