Abstract:
During the period from December 1996 to February 1997, a study of indoor radon was carried out on 840 different buildings in eight districts of Tak Province in Thailand, using the charcoal canister method. The survey revealed the presence of radon gas inside all buildings investigated, varying in concentration from 4.0 to 442.9 8q.m-3; elevated concentrations (> 150 8q.m-3) were encountered in 4.1 percent (n=31). Highlights of the findings were the unexplained aggregation of elevated radon concentrations in a tiny Tambon Maignarm of Muang district and in Maeramaad district
