Abstract:
Color process ink which is distributed in the market has different colors and quality of ink. Ink
which is high quality is called high quality ink. It has better quality than normal ink. This Project
aimed to comparison of process color offset printing quality between high quality ink and normal
ink. It was used instead of normal process ink and used some color and all. After that, the researcher
studied the satisfaction with different colors by using high quality ink. The two kinds of ink were
tested and the Test Forms were designed. There were pictures which represent the six kinds of color
tone. Printing was tested five times. First, the picture was printed by normal process ink and then
replaced by high quality ink. Each printing, the result was analyzed such as dot gain, ink trapping,
hue error, grayness, color correction and color gamut. After that, the pictures were evaluated by the
experienced offset technicians. It is found that whenever it is printed in cyan and magenta, the color
we've got (without consideration of the correction of color), is better than normal ink. However,
when it is printed only in yellow for grayness balance and real, the color we've got is better than
normal ink. Conclusion, to print by high quality ink is better and more standard than normal ink.
For printing quality consideration cannot make only color gamut which is wider than standard. As it
may cause hue error as well.
