Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to search for a process of Participation Network on Elderly Care in Mahasarakham Province . Participatory action research was used. Data obtained by group interview, focus group, and in depth interviews. 659 participants were all stakeholders in all levels including 100 administrators of local administrative organizations, 135 public health centre officers, 24 public health volunteers, and 400 elderly club volunteers. All of them were from 88
sub districts of Mahasarakham province in the year 2008. The participation process were: a) meeting for explained the purpose of the study b) meeting for the planning process of participatory network on elderly care, c) working on process of participatory network to search for the elderly problems, and
d) following for evaluated the participatory network project. Major findings revealed that the collaboration consisted of the participatory process planning by the moral under wisdom and carefulness. Local administrative organizations were the host of the participatory network on elderly care projects, the elderly clubs were the worker of the projects and improved their problems by themselves. The process of participation network on elderly care can help elderly people to be healthy in the future by the moral under wisdom and carefulness. The network collaborators were administrators of local administrative organizations, public health centre officers, and elderly club volunteers. They can generate good health development for the elderly in areas they live.
