Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study level of perception of organizational policy, organizational commitment and relation between perception of organizational policy, organizational commitment and job performance of the Royal Aide De Camp Department (RADCD) Officers. Participants were 187 Royal Aide De Camp Department Officers under Ministry of Defence. Data were collected by questionnaires. Percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, and Pearsons Product Moment Correlation Coefficient were analyzed.
The results indicated that the RADCD Officers had average perception level of organizational policy and high level of organizational commitment. They had moderate commitment in a strong belief in and acceptance of the organizational goals and values. Most RADCD officers had high level of organizational commitment in a willingness to exert considerable effort on behalf of the organization, and in a strong desire to maintain membership in the organization. Job performance was at average level. RADCD Officers differed in education level had significantly different organizational policy perception at statistical level at .05. Likewise, RADCD Officers differed in monthly income had significantly different organizational commitment at statistical level at .05. The perception of organizational policy was statistically positive correlated with organizational commitment. Both organizational policy perception and organizational commitment were not statistically correlated with job performance.
