Abstract:
The objectives of this research are 1) to study the level of perceived welfares and
organizational citizenship behavior of employees 2) to compare organizational citizenship
behavior of employees who have different personal factors 3) to study the relationship between
the perceived welfares and organizational citizenship behavior of employees 4) to create an
algebraic equation to predict organizational citizenship behavior.
This research was carried out with 299 employees of Asia Fiber Public Company Limited.
The research was conducted through questionnaire survey. Data collected through the survey
were analyzed in percentage, means, standard deviation, t-test, One-way Analysis of Variance,
Pearsons Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis.
Results of the study reveal majority of employees had perceived provided welfares at middle
level and had organizational citizenship behavior at high level. Personal factors that influence the
levels of organizational citizenship behavior are age, education, status and periods of working.
The perceived welfares of an economy, education, social work, recreation, job security and health
had positive relationship with organizational citizenship behavior at .01 statistically significant
level. Perception of welfare of health and social work can predict organizational citizenship
behavior of 11.9 percent at .05 statistically significant level.
