Abstract:
The Objectives of this experimental research were 1) to develop a Web-Based Instruction
on the Secretary Work course for Vocational Certificate students, 2) to evaluate the efficiency of the developed WBI 3) to compare studentslearning achievement between the two teaching methods (WBI and a conventional method) and 4) to assess the students satisfaction towards the developed WBI.
The sample was 50 first-year students who enrolled in the Secretary Work course in the second semester of the academic year 2011 at Yasothon Technical College. The sampling group was divided into two cohorts. The control cohort of 25 students was taught using a conventional method while the experimental cohort of 25 students was taught using the WBI. The tools used were the researcher-developed WBI lessons on Secretary, exercises, the achievement tests, and the satisfaction evaluation form.
The results revealed that 1) the efficiency of the WBI lessons on Secretary Work was 82.67/81.07 which was higher than the criterion level of 80/80, 2) the learning achievement of the students who were taught using the WBI lessons was significantly higher than that of those who were taught using the traditional teaching methods at the statistical level of .05, and 3) the students satisfaction towards the WBI lessons was at the high level ( x = 4.38, S.D. = 0.51)
