Abstract:
The thesis deals with four problems. The first problem presents the new
confidence interval for the difference between normal means with a known ratio of
variances and the new prediction interval for the difference between the future
normal means with a known ratio of variances. The second problem concerns the
new confidence interval for the difference between normal means with an unknown
variance. The third problem concerns the generalized p-value and the generalized
confidence interval for the Behrens-Fisher problem with known prior information.
The fourth problem presents new confidence intervals for the difference between
normal means with known coefficients of variation. We derived analytic expressions
of coverage probability and its expected length of each interval in problems one and
two. Monte Carlo simulation is also used to support our results in these problems.

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ประกอบด้วย 4 ปัญหา ปัญหาแรกนาเสนอช่วงความเชื่อมั่นใหม่

ความแปรปรวนประชากร ปัญหาที่สองนาเสนอช่วงความเชื่อมั่นใหม่สาหรับผลต่างค่าเฉลี่ยของ
ประชากรปกติเมื่อไม่ทราบความแปรปรวนประชากร 1 กลุ่ม ปัญหาที่สามนาเสนอ พีเวลู่ทั่วไป
และช่วงความเชื่อมั่นทั่วไปสาหรับปัญหาบีเรนส์ฟิสเชอร์เมื่อทราบข้อมูลเบื้องต้น ปัญหาที่สี่
