Abstract:
According to the high competitive in current business, many companies have to adapt and develop a performance strategy for responding to the diversities of individualized product. As a result, this research aims to develop a methodology for re-grouping components and be able to modify a particular group of components in order to serve this circumstance. First of all, the correlation between each component will be analyzed by design structure matrix (DSM). After that, dependency coefficient will be calculated to establish a module of components by hierarchical clustering. This developed methodology will be applied to the case study The Bus Body Structure. The output of establishing a sub-module under the former one will be easy for re-designing a new module without affecting the main structure of the product. It will become a tool to support a manufacturer in order to achieve the individual demand of customers effectively.
